Say "Hello" to Pierre...Lot's happening Monday

Here is Pierre (stone en Francais). Donna thought it should have a name.

Pierre weighs in at a heafty 1550 pounds

and is specially delivered by this great "tri-cycle"
fork lift.

Nothing like the natural beauty of stone.
meanwhile, the man cave floor is installed...

...as well as the central vacuum..

...and I installed the mailbox (not the post) and
put the 11 on the post.
Monday will be a big day with the electricians coming and finishing up their work and trim going into the man-cave.

Another milestone completed.

Can you tell what's missing from this picture?
A: The dumpster is finally moved in prepartion for
conturing and seeding the lawn.
The driveway layout was made as well.

This will be our front porch step...weighing in at
1546 pounds!

Ryan blends the yards of between us and
our neighbors Ed and Ellen.
The plumber made his final appearance and
now we have a working shower...

...and kitchen sink..

and working bath.

The evening light is very pleasant
from the rear bedroom.

Tile work nearly completed. Tomorrow, driveway prepartion and landscaping.

Donnie was back today adding the glass accent tiles to the master bath shower.
Grout was added to the small bath and washer/dryer closet. Marble was added to
several flat areas including the shower threshold. Finally the splash guard
for the tub was completed and the toilet in the master bath was set.

The air exchange control unit was installed.

The mailbox post was installed with much effort.  The guys had
to go through many rocks to get to the right depth.
What a treat that our good friend Tom was able to stop
by and relax on our porch swing.

A lot can happen in just 2 days...

In just 2 days the appliances were delivered, countertops installed, interior trim completed, window film removed and door hardware installed.

Before and...

after.
The double oven arrived (greatly needed for Thanksgiving).

The dishwasher, left and

The fridge is already in place.

The windows finally look clear with the lables removed.

The kitchen countertop is installed along
with the double-sided sink.

We love the windows, but I'll need to wear shades and
more clothes as I walk through the living area.

The rear bedroom before...
and after.
The master bedroom before...
and after.

Rooney loves the new carpet.
Let the light IN!

The black door hardware with the square bezels
is dramatic and matches the cottage style doors.

The oversized mailbox post goes in tomorrow too.
Tomorrow we say goodbye to our dumpster in prepartion for the driveway and landscaping to be started on Thursday.  I'm certainthe neighbors will say "good riddance."

Hardwood going down.

Say hello to Chris, a crew of one from Atlantic
Hardwoods.  He's installing our Maine Maple Traditions
prefinished hardwood flooring.  He did all of this (below) on Thursday!

A few shots with the "good" camera.

Truly, the photos from my iPhone are amazing, for a phone...but
the following shots with the Nikon and the architectual lens go a bit further.

Love this shot, for whatever reason.

In prepartion for laying the hardwood flooring tomorrow
morning, they transefered the product out of the dining room
as they will be starting there.
