Moving Up-date:

It's been an incredibly busy week to say the least.  We moved all items personal from 11 Hampton to 11 Apple Tree and everything was in boxes.  With the closing sale of 11 Hampton on Wednesday we had to completely clean it while we moved and un-packed for Apple Tree.

Now, we're getting close to complete.

The man-cave is starting to shape-up.

The livingroom awaits new furniture.

The master bedroom looks great...
...as well as the rear bedroom.
The storage area of the basement is getting in order.

...but the garage still needs work.

Not one photo is on the wall as yet.
The equipment room doubles as a furniture storage room.
Rooney LOVES the front rock.

The deck is very pleasant.

The landscaping is just beginning.

The pantry is fully loaded.

Everything in the kitchen works great.
The front lawn is coming in slowly.

Finally, it was Beach to Beacon weekend

Photo update

Before moving on Saturday, I took the Nikon out with the wide angle architectual
lens out and took some photos pre-detritus (yes, there's tons of detritus) that I thought I share.
It's late at the moment, and as I write this the frogs are in symphony in the backgroud and are surprisingly LOUD.  What's that expression...be careful what you wish for?
Donna has been working non-stop to make our house a 'home' and doing a wonderful job. My role is to stay out of the way and to lift heavy boxes when asked.  I think I can do that.

Here's some befor photos pre-detritus:

The rear bedroom is small but overlooks turtle/frog pond.

Andrew's piano is set-up in the "man cave"....

Bedroom right is beginning to look good.
The front looks great as well.

Moving Day

Too Tired To Move: A successful and strenuous moving day is almost over.  Special thanks go out to our wonderful, understanding and helpful new neighbors Ed and Ellen.

Before...

...and after.

Down the home stretch.

The TV wall mounts are up.  Here in the Man Cave, I'm already
getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday.

The AV closet is beginning to take shape.

The washer and dryer will be installed tomorrow.

The painters put the first coat of 'Midnight Blue'
on the front door....
...and complete the painting of the replacement
bedroom doors.

Donna positions the stained glass window from Hampton Road (a Christmas
gift from years ago) for permanent installation.

Meanwhile, I celebrate a hole-in-one
on the 13th hole at Sanford CC!

Glass and details

The glass shelves arrived and Jeff, one of our electricians, completed the instalation
of the under counter LED lights.

I installed the stereo in the A/V closet yesterday and Donna
 danced to Fleetwood Mac.

Some details left re: construction include:
  • Washer/Dryer installation
  • Repair of some water damaged flooring
  • Replacement bedroom doors (wrong glass) have arrived and need painting
  • Glass cabinet doors and glass shower divider to be delivered and installed
  • Complete  cleaning of the main living area.
  • Install door stops
  • Install the invisible dog fence (It's the fence that's invisible, not the dog)
  • Entrance door hardware
We're slowly moving stuff over to the bedrooms with the big move just 8 days away on 7/28.

Say 'Hello' to the Leeboy 1000-F

The Leeboy 1000-F arrives and is ready for work.
The lawn was seeded and covered with straw just minutes before
the Leeboy along with the crew arrived.

The foundation is completely installed. Sometime
in October the topcoat goes down.  In Maine, the
asphalt companies close just before Thanksgiving.

Right before a storm, the lighting is very dramatic.

The bedrooms were cleaned today, the screens installed and
the master bed set up.

Tomorrow, our builder goes for our Certificate of Occupancy.
